Recently, Shandong Comler Power Group Co., Ltd. has entered into an important cooperation with Sinohydro Bureau 5 Co., Ltd., providing 500kW, 200kW and 132kW diesel generator sets and a full-range power support solution for the Gribo-Popoli Hydropower Project in Côte d’Ivoire. This cooperation marks another landmark breakthrough for Comler Power in supporting large-scale hydropower projects in Africa, and delivers tangible results under the China-Africa Belt and Road Initiative.
Project Introduction
Located on the middle and lower reaches of the Sassandra River in southwestern Côte d’Ivoire, the Gribo-Popoli Hydropower Station is the largest under construction hydropower project in the country. It is a key clean energy project contracted by POWERCHINA in West Africa under the EPC model. With a total installed capacity of 112 MW and an average annual generating capacity of about 530 GWh, the project will greatly improve power supply, optimize the energy structure, and boost industrial and social development in Côte Ivoire.
As critical standby and emergency power for construction, commissioning and operation, Comler diesel generators will provide core support for plant power supply, equipment commissioning, emergency backup and grid connection transition, ensuring reliable and stable power around the clock.
