Recently, Shandong Comler Power Group Co., Ltd. (COMLERPOWER) successfully won the bid for PT.KOLAKA NICKEL INDONESIA (KNI) 120,000 metric tons nickel-contained mixed nickel-cobalt hydroxide hydrometallurgical smelting project in Indonesia. The company will supply multiple units of 500kW industrial diesel generator sets to support the self-owned power station and smelting production lines, undertaking full black-start and emergency standby power supply for the global benchmark new energy raw material base to guarantee stable operation and commissioning.

1. Core Production Capacity: Adopting world-leading High Pressure Acid Leaching (HPAL) technology, the project is designed to produce 120,000 metric tons of nickel metal and 15,000 metric tons of cobalt metal in mixed nickel-cobalt hydroxide (MHP) annually. MHP serves as the core precursor material for ternary power batteries of new energy vehicles, supplying top global battery manufacturers and automotive supply chains.
   
   
   

2. Power Supporting Layout: The project builds a 4×18MW natural gas self-owned power station as main power supply. A supporting emergency diesel generator system is deployed for full plant black-start and uninterrupted power supply for core smelting equipment in case of gas unit failure or grid power loss, avoiding massive material loss and safety hazards caused by production line shutdown.

Equipment Procurement Requirements: The ordered 500kW containerized low-noise diesel generator sets are customized for Indonesia’s harsh tropical environment featuring high temperature, high humidity, heavy dust and offshore salt spray. The units support automatic ATS dual-power switching, remote intelligent monitoring, parallel operation and high-standard environmental emission, complying with all-weather operation standards for overseas mining industrial parks.
