Recently, the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Railway, a landmark flagship project of the Belt and Road Initiative, has achieved steady construction progress. Kangmule Power Group has successfully won the bidding and officially signed the generator set procurement order for the project, supplying a batch of high-quality diesel generator sets to support this cross-border infrastructure project. The reliable power supply products firmly underpin the energy foundation for the construction of the Silk Road cross-border channel. In this cooperation, Kangmule Power will deliver a total of 8 diesel generator sets with different power specifications including 500KW and 300KW, which will be fully applied in core scenarios such as project construction power supply, on-site emergency power guarantee, and operation and maintenance of supporting facilities along the line.
The China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Railway is a strategic cross-border railway project jointly built by China, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, and a benchmark project for infrastructure connectivity between China and Central Asia, as well as a core part of the west and south corridor of China-Europe Railway Express. Starting from Kashgar in Xinjiang, China, passing through the hinterland of the Pamir Plateau and Kyrgyzstan, and ending in Andijan, Uzbekistan, the total length of the railway is about 523 kilometers.
As a major cross-border infrastructure project that has been advanced for more than 20 years, the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Railway has opened the shortest land passage from East Asia to Central Asia, West Asia and Europe. After completion, it will shorten the transportation distance from China to Europe by nearly 1,000 kilometers and cut the transportation time by 7 to 8 days, greatly reducing cross-border logistics costs. The annual designed transport capacity reaches 15 million tons, and the long-term capacity will be increased to 50 million tons, serving as a key artery reshaping the Eurasian supply chain and logistics pattern. At present, the project construction is advancing steadily with tripartite coordination, technical exchanges and resource co-construction among the three countries.
The China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Railway features complex terrain and harsh construction conditions. The plateau and mountainous working environments put forward extremely high requirements for the stability, adaptability, durability and harsh environment resistance of on-site power supply equipment. Engineering construction, tunnel operation, station construction, temporary office work and later operation and maintenance all require uninterrupted and high-reliability standby power support.
The 8 diesel generator sets delivered by Kangmule Power this time cover mainstream engineering power segments of 300KW and 500KW, specially adapted to complex working conditions such as low plateau temperature, large day and night temperature difference and outdoor open-air operation. The equipment has the advantages of quick start, stable operation, energy-saving fuel consumption, low failure rate, anti-vibration and anti-shock performance. It can perfectly meet the needs of sudden power failure response and regular standby power supply, fully ensure the continuity and safety of project construction, effectively solve the power supply problems of remote cross-border infrastructure projects, and provide solid energy support for efficient project advancement.
The construction and completion of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Railway is an important milestone in the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative with far-reaching strategic significance. Domestically, the project activates the opening-up potential of western China, makes Kashgar of Xinjiang a core hub connecting Eurasia, and complements the shortcomings of cross-border logistics channels in western China. Internationally, it completely breaks the geographical closure dilemma of inland Central Asian countries, removes regional trade and circulation barriers, and deepens infrastructure co-construction, economic and trade exchanges, and production capacity cooperation among China, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
