Comler Power Group Wins the Bid for Conakry Port Expansion Project in Guinea, Multi-specification Diesel Generator Sets Boost the Construction of West African Hub Port.
Company Introduction: Comler Power Group is a national high-tech enterprise integrating R&D, manufacturing, sales and global after-sales service of generator sets. Headquartered in Jining, Shandong Province, the company owns a modern international industrial park, digital intelligent production lines and standardized testing centers, and strictly implements ISO8528 international standards for production and manufacturing. Its product power covers 3kW to 10000kW. With outstanding advantages of high temperature resistance, moisture resistance and stable operation, Comler’s products are widely used in major overseas projects including ports, infrastructure construction, mines and energy industries, and exported to many countries and regions worldwide. The enterprise can provide complete power supply equipment and localized technical service support for key overseas infrastructure projects.
Project Introduction: The Phase II Expansion Project of Conakry Port Container Terminal in Guinea is a core port infrastructure project in West Africa. As the only core seaport of Guineas capital and a key international logistics hub in West Africa, Conakry Port undertakes the core functions of foreign trade container distribution and maritime transportation for Guinea and neighboring countries, which is crucial for regional economic and trade development.
The expansion project includes container berth expansion, breakwater extension, land reclamation, foundation reinforcement and upgrading of all supporting auxiliary facilities. Upon completion, the project will greatly increase the annual container throughput of the port, meet the docking and operation needs of large ocean-going container ships, and improve the cross-border logistics and transportation system in West Africa.
In view of the unstable local power grid and the complex tropical high-temperature and high-humidity working conditions in Guinea, the project has extremely high requirements for the stability, safety and environmental adaptability of standby power and construction main power. Comler Power has successfully been shortlisted in the project procurement list, supplying a batch of 200kW, 300kW and 500kW diesel generator sets for the port project. The equipment is mainly used for daily power supply on construction sites, uninterrupted power supply for port cranes, control systems, lighting systems and yard supporting equipment, and serves as the full-station emergency standby power. It effectively avoids risks caused by power grid fluctuation and power outage, and fully guarantees the project construction and the normalized and large-scale operation of the terminal in the later stage.
In terms of industry development, the project fully verifies the excellent performance of Comler generator sets adapting to extreme working conditions of high temperature, high humidity and complex power grids in Africa, demonstrating the excellent quality and global competitiveness of China’s high-end power equipment. Meanwhile, it further deepens economic and trade cooperation and industrial chain collaboration between China and Africa in the infrastructure field, accumulates valuable practical experience for domestic power equipment enterprises to explore the West African market of ports, energy and infrastructure projects, and sets a benchmark for the export of domestic generator sets.
