Shandong Comler Power Group Successfully Wins Bid for 200kW Diesel Generator Set Procurement for World Bank-Funded 132kV Kouritenga Substation Project in Burkina Faso
Project Introduction
Recently, Shandong Comler Power Group (hereinafter referred to as "Comler Power") has officially confirmed winning the bid for the 200kW diesel generator set procurement order for the World Bank-funded 132kV Kouritenga Substation Project in Burkina Faso. Funded by the World Bank, this project is one of the core components of Burkina Faso’s "Large-Scale Solar Deployment and Rural Electrification (SOLEER)" initiative. It focuses on the 132kV high-voltage grid connection construction between the Kouritenga photovoltaic power station and the national main grid, aiming to address the local power shortage and improve the interconnection system of the West African regional power grid.
The 200kW diesel generator set procured this time will serve as the emergency backup power supply for the substation, ensuring uninterrupted power supply for the project under unexpected circumstances such as main grid fluctuations and extreme weather, and consolidating the bottom line of grid operation safety. Comler Power will provide end-to-end services including unit design, production, transportation, installation and commissioning, as well as after-sales operation and maintenance, ensuring the equipment adapts to harsh working conditions such as high temperature, dust and salt spray in Africa for stable and reliable operation.
