Recently, Shandong Comler Power Group has successfully won the bid and completed the delivery of 400kW diesel generator sets for the Kiribati Parliament Cluster Project undertaken by China Railway First Group Co., Ltd. The equipment will provide stable and reliable emergency standby power system for this national-level core government project of Kiribati, boosting the construction of vital infrastructure in the South Pacific island nation.
The Kiribati Parliament Cluster Project is located in South Tarawa, the capital of Kiribati. As a landmark national government complex of the Republic of Kiribati, it undertakes core functions including parliamentary sessions, government administration, official receptions and public assemblies. It is classified as critical national public architecture.
Kiribati lies on atoll archipelagos in the central Pacific Ocean, featuring a hot, humid and highly salt-laden marine climate. The local public power grid infrastructure is relatively underdeveloped with unstable power supply. As the national political hub, power outages will severely disrupt parliamentary operations and government systems. Hence strict technical standards are required for standby generators: resistance against coastal salt corrosion and high humidity, rapid startup, stable continuous operation, easy maintenance and long service life.
The supplied 400kW diesel generator sets serve as the core emergency power source. They will activate rapidly upon mains power failure, ensuring uninterrupted power supply for parliamentary halls, control rooms, security systems, lighting and communication facilities to guarantee smooth official activities.
Guarantee for government operation safety: The generator sets fill the gap of emergency power capacity for Kiribati Parliament Complex, maintaining continuous legislative and administrative work and stable operation of local governance systems.
Witness of China-Kiribati friendly cooperation: This key project is constructed by China Railway First Group. Comler’s power equipment supply represents a new model of collaboration between Chinese engineering contractors and domestic equipment manufacturers participating in infrastructure development of Pacific island nations, advancing bilateral economic and construction cooperation between China and Kiribati.
Benchmark for Chinese manufacturing global expansion: The successful deployment proves domestic generator sets are capable of enduring harsh tropical marine conditions in the South Pacific, further expanding market access of Chinese power equipment in Oceania infrastructure sector.
Regional demonstration value: The project delivers a mature reference solution of island emergency power supply for government buildings and public facilities across other Pacific island countries.
Shandong Comler Power Group Co., Ltd., headquartered in Jining, Shandong Province, is a national high-tech enterprise integrating R&D, intelligent manufacturing, global sales and overseas technical service of generator sets. The company owns a standardized intelligent industrial park, full digital production lines and a professional comprehensive testing laboratory. All products are manufactured in compliance with international standard ISO8528.
Comler provides a full range of products covering 3kW to 10000kW diesel generator sets, silent generators, containerized power stations, automatic paralleling units and anti-corrosion marine-specified generator sets. The products widely support overseas infrastructure projects of major central enterprises including China Railway, China State Construction and CCCC, with bulk exports to Oceania, Southeast Asia, Africa, the Middle East and other regions worldwide.
For the harsh island working conditions in Kiribati, Comler implemented special marine anti-corrosion upgrades on the 400kW generator sets, including enhanced anti-corrosion painting, heavy-duty salt fog air filtration system, moisture-proof electrical components and high-temperature resistant heat dissipation system. Equipped with intelligent automatic control system supporting remote monitoring and automatic fault alarm, the gensets achieve fast auto-start upon mains loss, meeting unattended operation requirements overseas.
With rich experience supporting overseas EPC projects, complete export qualifications, reliable delivery capacity and a global after-sales network, Comler keeps offering customized integrated power solutions for overseas construction, public buildings, mining, ports and emergency projects.
