—— Supporting the China-Equatorial Guinea Friendship Hospital Project and Injecting Reliable Power into African People’s Well-being
Recently, Shandong Comler Power Group further deepened its cooperation with Power Construction Corporation of China (POWERCHINA) and successfully supplied a 300kW diesel generator set for the China-aided New Niefang Hospital Project in Equatorial Guinea, now known as the China-Equatorial Guinea Friendship Hospital. The smooth delivery and commissioning of this equipment have built an all-weather, stable power supply “protective wall” for this landmark medical facility, which symbolizes the friendship between the two countries, and empowered the upgrading of local medical and health services through advanced power technology.
The China-Equatorial Guinea Friendship Hospital Project is the first medical assistance project provided by China to Equatorial Guinea and an important symbol of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Undertaken by POWERCHINA, the project started in November 2020 and was completed in November 2022, winning the title of “Excellent Foreign Aid Project”. Covering an area of 15,000 square meters with a total construction area of 5,665 square meters, the hospital includes an outpatient and emergency building, a medical technology building, an inpatient building and other functional areas, with 124 beds. Upon completion, it became the largest and most comprehensive general hospital in Centro Sur Province, Equatorial Guinea, with medical services extending to multiple surrounding provinces and cities. It plays an important role in improving local medical service capacity and deepening China-Africa health cooperation.

The 300kW diesel generator set supplied this time is manufactured in strict accordance with the national standard GB/T 2820.5-2009 and the international standard ISO 8528:5-2005, taking into account both the hot and humid climate of Equatorial Guinea and the stringent power stability requirements of hospitals. The unit is equipped with an intelligent four-protection system (monitoring water temperature, oil pressure, speed and battery level), a high-efficiency water-cooled radiator and an anti-vibration base. It supports automatic start-stop and uninterrupted operation, and can continuously deliver reliable power under complex working conditions. This provides 24/7 emergency and backup power support for critical hospital areas such as operating rooms, life support systems and diagnostic equipment, fundamentally reducing medical risks caused by power outages.
