In September 2023, Sinopec Zhongyuan Petroleum Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Zhongyuan Petroleum Engineering”) and Shandong Khamler Power Group (hereinafter referred to as “Khamler Power”) reached a new procurement cooperation agreement. Khamler Power successfully supplied three 400kw diesel generator sets to Zhongyuan Petroleum Engineering. This batch of equipment will be sent to the Saudi Arabia oilfield project site for oil exploration and drilling operations by Team SP99. This marks the first time the cooperation between the two parties has expanded to Team SP99, following multiple previous equipment supplies to Teams SP26, SP27, SP6, SP48, and SP49.
Significance of Cooperation: Expanding from Five Teams to Six Teams
This cooperation began in September 2023. Following the cumulative supply of 10 units to Teams SP26 and SP27, three units to Team SP6, and six units to Teams SP48 and SP49, this is the first time Zhongyuan Petroleum Engineering has purchased Khamler Power‘s power generation equipment for Team SP99. To date, Khamler Power has cumulatively supplied power generation equipment to six drilling teams of Zhongyuan Petroleum Engineering’s Saudi branch. The continuous expansion of the cooperation scope — from Teams SP26 and SP27 to Team SP6, then to Teams SP48 and SP49, and now to Team SP99 — fully demonstrates that the excellent performance of Khamler Power‘s products in the Saudi market has continued to spread from the word-of-mouth effect of several Zhongyuan Petroleum Engineering teams to more operational teams. The equipment previously supplied to various teams has operated stably under extreme high temperatures and dusty conditions, helping these teams set multiple construction records for Saudi Aramco. Based on this successful experience and good reputation, Zhongyuan Petroleum Engineering decided to introduce Khamler Power’s equipment to Team SP99. This procurement of three units fully reflects the positive trend that Khamler Power‘s products have achieved within the Zhongyuan Petroleum Engineering system, moving from pilot use in several teams to continued promotion across more teams.
Project Introduction: Mature Solutions Ensure Efficient Operation of Team SP99
The three 400kw diesel generator sets supplied this time continue the successful experience of the equipment previously supplied to multiple teams, and have been specially optimized for Saudi Arabia’s extreme high temperatures, dusty climate, and Saudi Aramco‘s stringent drilling standards. Relying on mature technical solutions and strict quality control that have been repeatedly validated in the Saudi market, Khamler Power ensures that the equipment has high reliability, high durability, and easy maintainability. After being sent to Saudi Arabia, the equipment will be assigned to Team SP99 to provide stable power support for its drilling operations. According to public information, Team SP99 is one of Sinopec’s important drilling teams in Saudi Arabia, having long served various drilling projects of Saudi Aramco. The commissioning of the new generators will further enhance the continuity and safety of Team SP99‘s field operations, helping Zhongyuan Petroleum Engineering maintain overall excellent performance in the Saudi market.
Extended Significance: From Five to Six Teams, Made in China Wins Sustained Trust
From a broader perspective, the supply of equipment to Team SP99 reflects the deepening synergy between upstream and downstream enterprises in China’s energy industry chain as they go global together. Since the cooperation began, power generation equipment has been cumulatively supplied to six drilling teams of Zhongyuan Petroleum Engineering’s Saudi branch. Starting from two teams (SP26 and SP27), then expanding to five teams (adding SP6, SP48, and SP49), and now to six teams (adding SP99), the expansion of cooperating teams from two to six fully proves that Khamler Power‘s products have completely moved from the pilot verification stage to the continuous mass promotion stage within the system of Zhongyuan Petroleum Engineering’s Saudi branch.
From the multiple Saudi Aramco construction records set by various teams to the official introduction of Khamler Power equipment to the new team SP99, Chinese-made power generation equipment is winning recognition from more and more teams of Zhongyuan Petroleum Engineering‘s Saudi branch through reliable product performance and stable operation. From two teams to six teams, Khamler Power now covers more than half of the drilling teams of Zhongyuan Petroleum Engineering’s Saudi branch. This continuously expanding cooperation path sets a successful example for the systematic expansion of “Made in China” in the high-end international market. Once a product is fully validated across multiple benchmark teams, the word-of-mouth effect will naturally drive its continued adoption by more new teams.
