For example, components like the crankshaft, main bearings, cylinder liners, pistons, intake/exhaust valves, valve guides, and valve springs of the S195B diesel engine are not universal. Using non-interchangeable parts without distinction will lead to adverse effects.
Do not mix oversized parts of the same model. When using the repair size method, oversized parts can be selected, but the specific oversized grade must be clearly identified. Incorrect size selection during replacement will waste time, compromise repair quality, significantly reduce bearing service life, and in severe cases, render the entire generator set obsolete.
Adhere to installation technical requirements. While repair personnel usually pay attention to valve clearance and bearing clearance, some technical details are often overlooked. For instance, when installing cylinder liners, the upper surface should be approximately 0.1mm higher than the engine block surface; otherwise, cylinder air leakage or repeated cylinder gasket damage may occur.
Replace matching parts in pairs. Precision pairs like injector needle valve pairs, plunger pairs, and delivery valve pairs are generally replaced in pairs, but this principle should also apply to other parts. For example, replacing only one severely worn gear will result in poor meshing, increased noise, accelerated wear, and shortened service life. To ensure repair quality, avoid single-part replacement to cut costs, as it may cause complete damage to the generator set.
Prevent misinstallation or missing parts. A single-cylinder diesel engine has over a thousand parts, most with specific installation positions and directions. Misinstallation or missing parts can lead to difficulty in starting or complete failure to start the engine.
