First pay attention to High-energy batteries. Once a high-energy battery is selected for the generator, attention should be paid to heating or insulation of the battery. If the temperature in the machine room drops below 0℃, a battery heater should be equipped to maintain the capacity and output power of the battery. Regarding the operation of generator sets in high humidity environments, heaters should be installed on the generator windings and control boxes to avoid short circuits or insulation damage caused by condensation inside the generator windings and control boxes.
Working in extremely cold weather conditions. The diesel generator is equipped with auxiliary starting equipment, which uses fuel heaters or electric heaters to heat the cooling water, fuel, and lubricating oil of the cold engine, so as to raise the temperature of the entire engine and ensure smooth starting. When the temperature in the computer room is not lower than 4℃, the equipment coolant heater keeps the temperature of the starter cylinder above 32℃.
Low-temperature lubricating oil. Using low-temperature lubricating oil to reduce the viscosity of the lubricating oil, in order to improve the fluidity of the lubricating oil and reduce the internal friction resistance of the liquid. Used in high-altitude plateau areas. When used in high-altitude areas, the engines that come with generator sets, especially naturally aspirated engines, lose some power due to the thin air that cannot burn as much fuel as at sea level. For naturally aspirated engines, about 3% of power is lost for every 300m increase in altitude. Therefore, when operating in high-altitude areas, lower power should be used to avoid smoking and excessive fuel consumption.
